### Match the terminal and the licensed client

WND Terminal's reviewed inventory lists the established profiles and the scoped model profiles in the current tagged release. Rocket Secure Host Access brings together desktop and web clients from Reflection, InfoConnect and Host Access for the Cloud. Its desktop installer enables terminal types through activation files. Confirm the exact Rocket client, activation and tier in your estate rather than assuming every family runs in every Secure Host Access client.

On a small screen, swipe the table to read all columns.

| Host and terminal | WND Terminal | Rocket Secure Host Access scope to verify |
| --- | --- | --- |
| IBM Z 3270 / IBM i 5250 | 3270, TN3270E and 5250 profiles over Telnet or TLS. | 3270 and 5250 documented in the Secure Host Access user guide. |
| UNIX and Linux VT | VT100, VT220, VT320 and xterm-compatible behavior over SSH or Telnet; scoped VT52 and VT102 profiles, plus partial VT420/VT520 profiles over Telnet. | Check the desktop or Anywhere client and the required terminal model. |
| Wyse, IBM 3151 and PC ANSI families | Scoped desktop Telnet profiles for WY-50/WY-50+/WY-60, IBM 3151 echo mode, BBS ANSI/CP437, SCO ANSI and AT386. Read each model's documented limits before a host trial. | Check the exact Reflection or InfoConnect model, activation and client your estate uses. |
| Unisys MCP / OS 2200 | T27 and UTS 60 over Telnet. T27 XMIT/SPCFY and UTS form actions are in the current scope. | Rocket documents T27 web-client work; its desktop client uses terminal-type activation files. Confirm UTS and T27 client coverage in your license. |
| HP 3000 | HP 700/92 and 2392A over Telnet, with character and block sessions; partial HP 700/94 profile for common character and basic form behavior. | Reflection Desktop covers HP 3000; confirm the activated component. |
| HPE NonStop | 6530 over Telnet, conversational and block sessions. | Rocket publishes a NonStop add-on; confirm the current entitlement and client. |
| Airline reservations | P1024B ALC agent sets over MATIP type A, using ASCII or EBCDIC. | Rocket publishes an Airlines add-on and InfoConnect airline products. Confirm the ALC path and entitlement. |
| Airline printers and readers | Software-only virtual ATB/BTP routing, a synthetic reader and a bounded ZPL sample tag. Physical printer/scanner integration and IATA/AEA protocols require a customer device trial. | Rocket documents airline print delivery and a separately licensed PTR product. Check the actual device path. |
| Migration | Import supported IBM and VT session files. Set up specialty connections with their host settings and test macros separately. | Secure Host Access Desktop can open Rocket TE Desktop sessions. Inventory other profile and automation formats before a move. |
| Central and browser access | Desktop policy on Windows, Mac and Linux; a customer-hosted browser gateway for supported IBM and VT profiles. Specialty profiles are desktop-only in this inventory. | Enterprise adds centralized desktop management; Anywhere adds a web client. Terminal coverage still depends on the client. |

### Prove the replacement before renewal

Start with your actual estate, then work through the applications that make a terminal change hard.

01

#### Inventory what runs

Use the [migration readiness report](https://wndsoftware.com/migration-readiness-report) to find sessions, keymaps and likely compatibility work. Import supported IBM and VT sessions; configure specialty profiles from their host settings.

02

#### Test a real workday

Run a [free proof of value](https://wndsoftware.com/proof-of-value) with your users and hosts. Check terminal keys, screens, printers, transfers, macros and sign-on against agreed success criteria.

03

#### Take a defensible proposal to procurement

Compare your actual Rocket quote and licensed add-ons with a WND Terminal plan. Include migration effort and the functions your teams will gain, not only the license line.

### Let’s cut your emulator bill to a third.

Send us your Rocket quote, including volume pricing. We’ll target a third of your current bill, with migration help and a proof of value on your hosts before you commit.

### The details, when you need them.

#### Pricing source and scope

Rocket’s commissioned September 2025 Forrester study models 2,400 Enterprise users, with annual license costs of $504,000, $539,000 and $577,000. That averages $225 per user per year across three years. WND Terminal Enterprise is $75 per user per year: one third of that average.

The study uses a composite organization, assumed annual increases and its own discount. It is not a current Rocket quote. WND Terminal’s base comparison assumes a locked multi-year price and excludes separately quoted add-ons. Desktop is $69 per user per year; Enterprise is $75. Minimum 100 users. #### Feature sources and comparison notes

Reviewed October 20, 2026. WND Terminal automation and governance features follow the published 1.0.308 release. Terminal coverage on this page follows the tagged releases and exact limitations in the supported-systems inventory. WND Terminal’s AI endpoint and action policy are chosen by IT. Browser access needs the customer-hosted gateway. Optional API, host-connected testing, OData and approval products have separate entitlements; WND Test uses the 3270 engine; replay-only runs are free.

Rocket’s Pro, Enterprise and Anywhere tiers have different scopes. A blank Rocket cell means that exact feature was not established by the cited Secure Host Access sources; it does not establish absence. Rocket also describes a modernized desktop UI, a Discovery Tool, migration guides, identity controls and audit capabilities, so compare those workflows on your own systems. Rocket documents VBA, .NET and HLLAPI automation. Confirm your complete configuration with each vendor.

### Questions

#### Does WND Terminal support my exact Rocket terminal model?

Start with the linked model profiles and their published limits. WND Terminal covers IBM 3270 and 5250, VT, Unisys T27 and UTS, HP 3000, NonStop 6530, airline ALC and scoped Wyse, IBM 3151 and ANSI models. A proof of value checks your host, keys, printer and workflow before a commitment.

#### Does the $75 WND Terminal Enterprise price include every optional product?

No. The published Enterprise plan is $75 per user per year for 100 or more users. REST APIs, host-connected testing, OData screen tables and privileged-action approvals have separate entitlements. We will compare your complete WND Terminal proposal with your Rocket quote.

#### Can we bring Rocket sessions and macros?

WND Terminal provides a migration readiness report and importers for supported IBM and VT sessions. Specialty connections use their host settings, and existing macros should be tested during the proof of value.

### How should we evaluate WND Terminal against Rocket Secure Host Access?

Start with the exact host protocol, deployment and workflows covered by your current product. Have a user complete sign-on, an ordinary transaction, a rejected entry and cancellation with the familiar keys. Test printing, file transfer and actual automation separately where used. For browser delivery, include gateway and identity administration in the comparison; for an application-modernization project, include the required interface work. A successful connection alone does not establish an equivalent replacement.

Check [WND Terminal’s supported profiles and limits](https://wndsoftware.com/supported-systems), [current plan scope and pricing](https://wndsoftware.com/pricing), and the [migration evaluation steps](https://wndsoftware.com/switch).
